March 2012

Whilst our numbers are down at the moment we are still a busy group, embroidering our names on each others' serviettes which is proving very popular.  Thanks Kate for the suggestion.

One of our own members, Elizabeth, ran a very successful Stumpwork Workshop.  Excellent notes provided and a very patient teacher.  Another member, Kerry, spoke of her travels to Europe and to Greece to visit family, we also learnt about what life was life as an early settler on the far north coast.  Most of us had "umbrella envy" when Kerry showed us the lace umbrella she had bought in Venice.

We are now looking forward to the workshop with Annette Hind to be held in May.

The decision to keep the first Tuesday of the month for stitching and the the third Tuesday for business matters is working well.
